Blue Medium Rectangular Pendant Made with Glass Cabochon Goldtone Metal Bezel Tray and Upcycled Mixed Media Paper Art - 22-01
from $30.00
This listing is for a single pendant (#22-01), 2.5cm in width by 6cm in total length (5cm in image length). It is in shades of blue, cut from an upcycled print from my Blue Tetraptych set. The cardstock is sealed with acrylic and installed between a glass cabochon and a gold-tone metal bezel tray. The three components are then combined with various adhesives. I actually love it when the adhesive becomes another medium of the piece and lends extra texture and dimension.
When I am preparing my stock of prints in different sizes, some of them do not turn out at the printer - they're bad cuts or they come off of the machine slightly discolored or damaged. I ask the printer not to discard these and I upcycle them to use in my jewelry-making. I cut out portions of the picture that seem to make an interesting focal point in a piece of jewelry.
No two pieces are identical, although I can usually find enough similarities with another piece to make a matching set, as with earrings or pairing with a ring. Usually, I can also take a request to create a similar piece, although there will usually be some variations. Most of my jewelry naturally coordinates, regardless of what mixed media painting they are taken from.
The pendant is available on its own (no chain or cord purchased) for $30.00, or on an 18-inch gold-tone chain or an 18-inch fabric cord for $35.
Avoid Water
Due to the glues, sealants, and paper involved, these pieces aren’t “water-loving.” I discourage wearing them while bathing, swimming, or dancing in the rain. I have tried to use more water-resistant glues and sealants on the rings, because I want you to be able to wash your hands while wearing them – but it’s even better if frequent handwashers (like me – good for you) can remove rings first.
Free Shipping
Single jewelry orders are wrapped in bubble wrap, sealed in a bubble mailer marked as fragile, and shipped First Class with a tracking number. Combined orders will be shipped Priority Mail with a tracking number.
Replacement Due to Compromised Materials
My jewelry products have their own replacement policy that is separate from art and photography prints. If one of my pieces falls apart or comes unglued, send me a photo to help@manscribe.com. Then, 1) if you’re attached to that specific piece, I can coach you on reassembly, if that’s possible, or 2) you keep your original purchase and I will ship you a replacement piece, as similar as I can find in my stock.
